Frequently Asked Questions

Still have questions? Take a look at the FAQ or reach out anytime. If you’re feeling ready to pack your bags,

  • Travel advisors take on the research, planning and project management aspects of your vacation so all you have to do is show up. Some of the other benefits of using a travel agent also include:

    • time savings

    • expert recommendations

    • support & troubleshooting when travel plans go awry (think weather and other circumstances outside your control)

    • exclusive perks like upgrades, resort and on-board credits

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form - from there, I’ll schedule a quick call to discuss your trip and walk you through the next steps.

  • I can book travel for anywhere in the world but some of my most beloved trips are Mexico, Scotland and Hawaii. I have lived in the Southeast my whole life so can also provide expert recommendations for Southeast destinations like:

    • Asheville, North Carolina

    • Greenville & Charleston, South Carolina

    • Atlanta & Savannah, Georgia

    • and more

  • Travel advisors get paid a variety of ways. Our primary income is via commissions from hotels, cruise lines and tour operators. Often times, this means personalized service at no extra cost to you!

For complex travel itineraries and group and corporate travel, I charge a planning fee which varies based on the scope. Please reach out for a quote.

  • Online travel booking sites like booking.com can at times offer discounted rates, but these savings ultimately put you at a disadvantage. Examples include:

    • No ability to earn loyalty points

    • Any existing status with the hotel chain is moot

    • Least prioritized when it comes to room assignments

Ask yourself, is saving $100 really worth spending your hard-earned vacation with a view of the dumpsters?

When booking with an advisor, you are taking advantage of their existing relationship with the hotel and are often booking direct. This means you can still earn your loyalty points AND in some cases receive additional perks like:

    • Complimentary room upgrades (if available)

    • Resort credits

    • Early check-in/late check-out

This is where the real value of working with a travel advisor comes in.
